Dancing Competitions

Some of the Games’ youngest competitors take part in the Dancing and Highland Dancing competitions, but their skill and lightness of foot is always a pleasure to watch.

History of Dancing

Dances such as the Highland Fling, Reel of Tulloch (which originated near Nethy Bridge)  and the Sword Dance celebrate the warlike past of the Highlands and their people.
