Grantown East Highland Heritage and Cultural Centre
Grantown East: Highland Heritage and Cultural Centre opened exactly 50 years to the day after the closure of the Speyside line in November 1968. Today GE is the Highland’s newest attraction. Come visit us to see what the buzz is all about.
Grantown East: Highland Heritage and Cultural Centre is a beautifully renovated railway station where you can shop for Scottish handcrafted treasures and learn about the history of the railway and its importance to the community from our heritage displays.
Highland games sessions and demonstrations can be booked for those who want a hands on experience.
Miniature railway rides can be enjoyed over the former bed track and then through the woods.
