Abernethy Scottish Country Dance Club
The Abernethy Scottish Country Dance Club meets every Monday, in Nethy Bridge Community Centre from late September to the end of March each year. We meet at 7:30 promptly for two hours of enjoyable dancing .Fees are £5 per class or £37 per term. Our teacher is Janet Renton from Kingussie.
Potential new members are invited to attend their first two classes free of charge during September and October, with the hope that they will become regular members.
For further information ring Dougie Burns 01479 821952
Our members include dancers of very varied ability. Some have been dancing for many years, others have joined us in recent years and months. If you are an experienced Scottish Country Dancer, or if you would like to give Scottish Country Dancing a try you will be made very welcome.
An important feature of our classes is that dancers are encouraged to change partners for every dance, and more experienced members are always willing to partner newer members. We regularly have more than 20 dancers on a Monday evening.
Scottish Country Dancing is a good way of making new friends; keeping fit AND keeping the brain cells working well … AND it’s great fun. Importantly, whilst we welcome couples, you do not need a partner to take part.
